Camp Wildrock in the Schoolyard
Children enjoy a field trip to Wildrock mid-week.
Wildrock is excited to partner with Charlottesville City Schools this summer to bring a FREE outdoor adventure day camp to city schoolyards! Summer 2024 camps will be held at Venable and Burnley Moran. Students MUST be rising 1st-4th graders enrolled at a Charlottesville City School, but do not need to attend Venable or Burnley Moran to attend the camps. Most of the program will be held outdoors. The program emphasizes respect for others, kindness, and the joys of playing and exploring in nature.
The camp day runs from 8:30 am to 2:30pm. Each week includes:
visits with live animals
outdoor adventure games
craft projects with natural materials
nature exploration and outdoor play
a field trip to Wildrock’s playscape!!
Please note: A school lunch is provided upon request. At this time, transportation is not available.
Dates:
Sessions run at Venable and Burnley Moran on the following weeks:
June 17-21 (No Camp on 19th)
June 24-28
July 1-5 (No Camp on 4th)
July 8-12
